What’s the best thing about being a Catholic School teacher? To me it isn’t a job, it is a way of life.  To be able to have a share in the work of Jesus, to reach out to others. I believe it is my calling to be a servant leader, to set an example of service to others. Each day I witness the sense of community in our school, the level of caring for each other.  Every teacher has the gift of planting a seed in each student they encounter, we have the opportunity to be a part of the growth.

If you could take the students on a field trip to anywhere in the world, where would you take them?  My first thought was Ireland.  But the more I thought about it, I think it would be to the east coast.  We would start in Boston; touring the historical sites; USS Constitution, Boston Freedom Trail, Bunker Hill and Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross onto New York City; Ellis Island, Time Square, take in a broadway show, Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and of course a game at Yankee Stadium. Our next stop would be Philadelphia; Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Benjamin Franklin Museum and Mass at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. Our final destination would be Washington DC, our tour would include the Holocaust Museum, some of the museums on the National Mall, the Pentagon Memorial, the night tour of the monuments and Mass at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
