Five students from Pope John XXIII Central Catholic in Elgin have been selected to attend Cornhusker Boys and Girls State in Lincoln during the week of June 2-8. Attendees will receive training in the positive processes of self-government and good citizenship as practiced in democratic societies. Girls delegates sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary Elgin Unit #229 and include junior, Kayce Kallhoff, daughter of Brent and Susan Kallhoff of Elgin. Alternates are junior, Breanna Bartak, daughter of Gary and Mary Bartak of Clearwater and junior, Faith Kinney, daughter of Josh and Maria Kinney of Elgin. Boys delegates are sponsored by American Legion Elgin Post #229 and include junior, Conor Ramold, son of Nick and Beth Ramold of Neligh and junior, Luke Henn, son of Denis and Jan Henn of Elgin.
