The Pope John Women’s Choir recently received an Outstanding Performance Award at the District Music Contest.  The purpose of the Outstanding Performance Award (OPA) is designed to recognize the top performers at District Music Contest in the solo and small ensemble categories. These are the students who demonstrate preparation and performance excellence beyond the standard of a Superior rating in skill and musicianship. A judge at District Music Contest may give one Outstanding Performance Award for all of the small group entries (up to 24 members) that he or she hears throughout the contest.
