Regional Americanism Essay Winners Announced

Pope John XXIII and St. Boniface Catholic Schools had two first place winners and one third place winner in the Regional Department American Auxiliary Americanism Essay Contest. Pope John sophomore Marissa Preister and St. Boniface sixth grader Darby Carstens won first place and their essays will go on to the Northwest Division competition. They were both awarded $25 as their first place prize. Fourth grader Gavin Kallhoff received third place at regional competition and a $10 prize.  The students wrote on the assigned topic, “How can we address and prevent Veteran homelessness in our communities.”
