The Pope John Speech Crusaders are District D2-2 Champions! Medalists and state qualifiers are as follows: Earning 1st place medals were the oral interpretation of drama (OID) team of Linus B., Matthew D., Cale K., Jack B.,and Aiden K., as well as Linus B. in Extemporaneous speaking. Coming in 2nd place was Matthew D. in entertainment speaking, Linus B. in informative speaking, Reese S. in serious prose, and Eliza B. in persuasive speaking. 3rd place honors go to Olivia K. in persuasive speaking, Jack B. in humorous prose, and Skyler M. in program of interpretation (POI). Also earning 3rd place medals were Jovie V. in poetry, Emma Lea R. in serious prose, and the OID team of Skyler M., Brooklyn M., Emma Lea R., Ashlynne C., and Kaitey S. Also earning district medals in 4th place were Aiden K. in entertainment speaking, the duet of Olivia K. and Juliana M., and Tessa B. in poetry. 5th place medals were earned by Jazmine M. in informative speaking and Eliza B. in humorous prose. Earning a superior rating in their duet acting event were Tessa B. and Jovie V. The team will now focus on the state tournament, to be held at Kearney High School on Friday, March 17th.
Good Luck to students competing in District FFA CDE Contest #2 at Sargent today: Sharon, Carter, Taylynne, Paiton, Sam, Natalie, Kellan, Hudson, Kaiden, Grady, Isaac, Karson, Aiden and Landyn. They will leave @ 9:45 a.m. and return by dismissal.

Our almsgiving sacrifice this Lenten season will be donating money to our seminarian Zach Eischeid and Tintern. Each house goal is $250 in hopes of reaching $1000 as a school goal.
