DEAR (drop everything and read) with elementary students, high school speech presentations @ 9:45 a.m., PJ Scrabble tournament and SB board games. Lunch: SB 11/11:30 a.m., JH 12:00, HS 12:30 p.m. JH will return for DEAR Dismiss @ 1:00 p.m.
Speech practice Monday, February 8 and Wednesday February 10 at 6:30 p.m. Mandatory.
There will be musical rehearsal for all cast members today following dismissal.
Carmel apple suckers for sale in the library this week for 50 cents. Proceeds go to purchase new library books.
Good Luck to our wrestlers competing in sub-districts at *Doniphan-Trumbull tomorrow.
If you plan to use the pop machine please use dollar bills and quarters only. The past two days there have been whole dollar pieces, pennies, etc. and this jammed the coin mechanism.
Congratulations to our girls’ basketball team on their win over CWC yesterday. They will now play in NVC finals with North Central tomorrow at Elkhorn Valley. Game time is 5:00 p.m. Our boys will play Neligh-Oakdale in the consolations at 3:30 p.m. We will have a black out for the games!

They will be shipped to Elkhorn Valley on Saturday, February 13th. The Elgin High Community Club members are selling candy grams for Valentine’s Day. Small candy bar and 12 oz. red Gatorade is $5.00. Add $1 for a 2nd candy bar. Orders are due February 8th. Deliveries will be made Friday, Feb. 12th to anywhere in Elgin. You may pick up a form from either school’s office or order online by completing the form and sending your money to EPS office.
