Congratulations to our district champion one act cast, crew, and directors on their performance of “UG, the Caveman Musical”! They will perform in Norfolk next Wednesday (12/7) at state! Congratulations also to Linus B., Skyler M., Jack B., Matthew D., Sam H. and Emma Lea R. on receiving outstanding actor and actress awards.
Pope John will not have school on Wednesday, December 7th due to State One Act. St. Boniface will have school.
Lunch period will be from 11:47-12:17 due to St. Boniface not having school. 5th period will be from 12:20-1:05 p.m.
Good Luck to our JV and varsity basketball teams as they travel to Cedar Rapids to play Riverside. JV girls and boys will both be playing at 4:30 in Cedar Rapids. JV girls, the boys’ basketball teams, and all managers will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m. Skyler, Taylynne, Ashlynne, Keyera, and Maddie will leave at 3:25 p.m. w/Coach Eisenhauer. Please dismiss them at 3:15 p.m
Pope John and St. Boniface families are asked to donate one NEW Christmas gift (unwrapped) for kids/families in need in our local area. Toys, books, winter gear, blankets, clothing, gift cards, etc. are all welcome. *Be creative*—think about the needs of others. Estimated gift cost is $15 per family. Gifts are due Friday, December 9th.
Elgin’s Hometown Christmas event is looking for 2-3 students to work at a build-a-gift/craft table on Wednesday, December 7 from 5-7 p.m. Students in grades 7-12 who are available are asked to sign up in the school office by this FRIDAY. *Great opportunity to have some fun with the little kiddos building gifts/crafts!
