Today we add the tablets of stone, a symbol of the 10 commandments, to the Jesse tree. God gave Moses the 10 commandments to tell us what he expects of us and how we are to honor God and respect our neighbor.

FFA meeting and Christmas supper this evening at 6:00 in the EPS Ag room.
Reminder to all: Items for our Advent Ribbon Tree are due today and will be picked up Friday morning. If you have not given a gift, you may do so until Friday before 8:10 a.m. Thank you for your generosity to those less fortunate.
Our Penance service will be this morning at 9:15 for JH/HS students and approximately 10:30 for students in grades 3rd through 6th. Please take some time to prepare for the sacrament of reconciliation and reflect on your sins as we prepare for the birth of our Lord.
Good Luck to our JH girls basketball team traveling to play Neligh-Oakdale for a 4:00 game. “A” team will play the first game followed by a 10 minute running clock of “B” team. They are dismissed at 2:45 p.m.
January calendar items are due in the office by next Tuesday, December 17th.
This week from 3:15 until 3:30 p.m. selected drinks are $1 each at the pop machine. No bubbl’r drinks.
Musical tryouts tonight at 6:30. Students are encouraged to try out for a part or sign up as a crew member.
Cross Country Awards at EPS on Wednesday, December 18th at 4:00 p.m. and should take about 20 minutes.
Mystery jars are back! Starting today and going until Friday, 12/13, students will have an opportunity to guess how many items are in each jar (table in the front hall). Please make sure students put their *names *on the paper and put their guess *in the box*, with the picture corresponding on the jar. Winners will be announced Monday/Tuesday next week! Winners get the items in the jar. Good luck! May the odds be in your favor!
