Gonzaga and Joshua Houses are in charge of the paper drive tomorrow. Please check with your grandparents and elderly in the neighbor and ask if they need assistance with papers.
Bill Miller will teach a Hunter Safety Course this weekend at the Elgin Senior Center. Friday 6:30-9:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You need to register online through the Nebraska Game and Parks and there is no cost.
Any 3-12 graders who are interested in going to the Young Americans workshop on September 23-25 MUST register online today. Please contact Mrs. Becker if you have questions.

Great job Tuesday to the FFA members participating in the Area V District Range Judging Contest. The Senior team of Kyle S., Faith K., Hunter R. and Kira W. placed 4th overall out of 20 teams. Kyle was 11th overall, Faith 13th, Kira 16th and Hunter 17th out of 75 participants. The Junior team of Marissa P., Kirsten K., Harlie B., and Alyssa B. placed 5th overall out of 37 teams. Marissa was 17th overall out of 139 participants. On Monday, Sept. 17th the members will head back to Holt Co. for the District X North contest.
Reminder – The FFA/Ag Ed students will be hosting a farm safety/petting zoo day today. Elementary students from both schools will be coming over throughout the day. Elementary teachers are asked to bring their students to the area West of the greenhouse to get started. ALL STUDENTS WHO DRIVE TO SCHOOL AT EPS ARE ASKED TO NOT PARK IN THE PARKING LOT BY THE GREENHOUSE THURSDAY! THANK YOU!

The new gating system at the Elgin Public Schools is as follows: The east and the north gate are open to the public from after school until school the next day. The west gates should never be entered or exited by students. If anyone comes during school hours your only access should/will be at the high school office door. (Ag students will be let in by the teacher in the ag room) Please don’t open gates for people or enter at unauthorized locations.
