Cornhusker and Elkhorn Public Power Districts are offering six scholarships for high school students; grades 9, 10, or 11, to attend the week long NREA Youth Energy Leadership Camp in Halsey, July 8 – 12th. This opportunity is an all expense paid trip including transportation to and from camp. Cornhusker Public Power District’s contest to determine the six scholarship winners will be held Wednesday April 24th at Cornhusker Power’s office in Columbus. *Entry forms are due to Cornhusker Public Power District by April 19th*. Congratulations to the FFA members for a successful day at NECC last Wednesday for the District 10 Career Development Events (CDE’s). There were many members that qualified to compete at the state convention in April. Congratulate them if you see them, they all have been studying very hard! Livestock Management Team: Haley Z., Ally S., Kirsten K., Lauren S. and Faith K. 4th place team and qualify for state as a team. 1st overall team in the poultry division and will represent District 10 to compete in the state FFA poultry contest. Vet Science Team: Kirsten K., Lauren S., Ally W. and Hunter R. 3rd place team. Qualify for state. Ally W. was tied for 3rd overall Ind. Biotechnology Team: Kira W., Lauren S., Ally W. and Hunter R. . 2nd Place team. Top two qualify for state. Kira was 5th overall. Agricultural Mechanics Team: Kyle S., Adam D., Austin B. and RJ L. . Alternate is Cory R. 4th overall team and qualify for state. Kyle was 2nd overall in the structural division. Farm Business Mgt.
