Cornhusker and Elkhorn Public Power Districts are offering six scholarships for high school students; grades 9, 10, or 11, to attend the week long NREA Youth Energy Leadership Camp in Halsey, July 8 – 12th. This opportunity is an all expense paid trip including transportation to and from camp. Cornhusker Public Power District’s contest to determine the six scholarship winners will be held Wednesday April 24th at Cornhusker Power’s office in Columbus. *Entry forms are due to Cornhusker Public Power District by April 19th*. The student’s home must be served by Cornhusker Public Power District. She will need a $40.00 deposit, cash or check made out to Roxi’s Elegant Bridal, and a picture or sample of vest color needed. Renters are responsible for picking up the tux in Norfolk 2-3 days prior to the prom, but Emily will return them on Monday after Prom if they are brought to her or Sandi in the office by 9:00 a.m.
A Quest weekend will be held at Tintern Retreat Center on March 23-24, for freshmen and sophomores. It is given by a team of youth and adults and is an exciting mixture of fun and faith. Cost is $45. Brochures and applications are available via the Facebook page: Quest-Northeast NE.
