Catholic Schools Week:
Thursday-Celebrating Vocations (Pope John shirt and jeans w/ no holes, etc.), students make appreciation cards for    priests and deacons in class, Gonzaga House is hosting a bake sale in the library at 10:00 this morning with proceeds going to the Archdiocese Seminarian Fund. All items are $1.
Friday-Celebrating Faculty, Staff & Volunteers (dress your best)  Parent’s Day

Good Luck to our JV and varsity basketball teams as we host Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family this afternoon beginning at 4:00 in the EPS Gym.  JV girls will play 3 quarters and JV boys 2 quarters. Lillian, Kinley and Elizabeth are dismissed at 2:40 p.m.

“A Salute to Veterans” will be held today during our basketball games with free Admission for all Veterans.  The Elgin VFW Auxiliary Post #5816 will be collecting items to be donated to the Norfolk Veterans Home:  examples   Coffee, pre and after shave, body spray/body wash for both men and women, shampoo, Kleenex, snacks, cash.

Tomorrow students may sit with their parents during Mass.  Students will enter through the west doors of church and locate their parents.  Any students who are not sitting with parents will sit in the front north section of church to allow room for parents and their children in the other sections.

For Catholic Schools Week we are assembling gift baskets to show our appreciation for Elgin businesses that support our school.  Each student/family is asked to bring 1 small snack, drink, pack of gum, or anything that would bring a smile to someone!  These items are due by noon this Friday, January 23 so that baskets may be assembled.
