Catholic Schools Week:
Friday-Celebrating Faculty, Staff & Volunteers (dress your best)  Parent’s Day, Parents visit classrooms following Mass until 11:25 a.m.  Pastry/coffee available to pick up in the front hall  A-K 10:00 a.m.   L-Z  10:20 a.m., classroom visits 10:40-11:15, Living Rosary in the St. Boniface Gym at 11:30 this morning led by our National Honor Society students. We will dismiss at noon from the gym.

The Eucharist will be celebrated this morning at 8:15 in the St. Boniface Church.  Students may sit with their parents during Mass.  Students will enter through the west doors of church and locate their parents.  Any students who are not sitting with parents will sit in the front north section of church to allow room for parents and their children in the other sections.

Good Luck to our boys’ wrestling team competing at Greeley this morning at 10:00 and to our girls wrestling team competing at Boone Central tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. 

Good Luck to our basketball teams as we begin the NVC Basketball Tournament tomorrow.  The girls vs. Ainsworth at 2:00 p.m. and the boys vs. winner of Ainsworth/N-V game at 3:30 p.m.  Games will be livestreamed through Hudl

Congratulations to our boys varsity basketball team on their win over Humphrey-LHF in OT last night.

JH Guidance will meet in Mrs. Drueke’s room.

The Cross Country banquet will be held Thursday, February 5th right after school in Mrs. Moser’s classroom.

Students—if you use the copier in the library or any items by the copier for projects, be sure you to clean up.  Several times this week the area was left a mess for others to clean up.

Catholic Schools Week:
Thursday-Celebrating Vocations (Pope John shirt and jeans w/ no holes, etc.), students make appreciation cards for    priests and deacons in class, Gonzaga House is hosting a bake sale in the library at 10:00 this morning with proceeds going to the Archdiocese Seminarian Fund. All items are $1.

Good Luck to our JV and varsity basketball teams as we host Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family this afternoon beginning at 4:00 in the EPS Gym.  JV girls will play 3 quarters and JV boys 2 quarters. Lillian, Kinley and Elizabeth are dismissed at 2:40 p.m.

“A Salute to Veterans” will be held today during our basketball games with free Admission for all Veterans.  The Elgin VFW Auxiliary Post #5816 will be collecting items to be donated to the Norfolk Veterans Home:  examples   Coffee, pre and after shave, body spray/body wash for both men and women, shampoo, Kleenex, snacks, cash.

Congratulations to our teams competing recently:  JH boys basketball placed 1^st at the Bloomfield Tournament with wins over Bloomfield and Wynot.  At the Neligh-Oakdale Wrestling Meet Landyn placed 3^rd and Grady 5^th, at the JH Wrestling Meet at Summerland Ava D. placed 3rd and Victoria E. 4^th and at the Neligh-Oakdale Wrestling Meet Libby E. placed 1^st and Jayda C. 4^th.

For Catholic Schools Week we are assembling gift baskets to show our appreciation for Elgin businesses that support our school.  Each student/family is asked to bring 1 small snack, drink, pack of gum, or anything that would bring a smile to someone!  These items are due by noon this Friday, January 23 so that baskets may be assembled.  

Catholic Schools Week begins Sunday.  We will have a variety of activities next week to celebrate our Catholic school.
