What are great season of range judging FFA kids! All of you kept learning and improving scores every week! At the District X North Contest on Wednesday, Elgin had the *Champion Jr. Team* – Baylee B., Nick A., Callie H. and Sam H. Baylee was 3rd overall, Nick was 4th, Sam was 5th and Callie was 12th. There were 240 contestants and 49 teams. Way to go! Other members that scored high in the Jr. division were Kate F., Myles K., Natalie B., and Keyera E. They were also the 5th place team In the Sr. Division Paiton H., Cale K., Ethan H., and Carter B. were the 4th overall team out of 23. Paiton was 12th, Ethan was 15th, Cale was 19th and Carter was 21st. Next week is the Nebraska State Range Judging contest in Cherry County. Based on total scores from our three contests, Baylee, Nick, Callie, and Sam will be representing Elgin in the Jr. Division. Paiton, Cale, Ethan and Austin G. will be representing in the Sr. Division! Congratulations! The following FFA Kids will be competing in the state FFA range judging contest next week in Cherry Co. Good job last week to the FFA kids at the AREA 5 District Range Judging Contest last Thursday. With a couple of the top range judging schools in the State, the Elgin members were right there with them! *Sr. Division:* 4th overall team was Cale K., Kali D., Paiton H., and Ethan H. Cale was the 10th overall individual, Kali was 11th, Paiton 13th and Ethan 18th. There were 81 individuals in the Sr. Division. Austin G., Grace M., Carter B., and Jack W. were the 7th overall team. There were 23 teams. *Jr. Division: *4th overall team was Samantha D., Sam H, Callie H., and Baylee B. Samantha was the 6th overall individual, Sam was 10th, Callie was 12th and Baylee was 18th. There were 156 total individuals in the Jr. division. Kate F., Natalie B., Nick A., and Keyera E. were the 6th overall team. Chloe, Taylor B., Blake H. And Brenna M. were the 9th overall team. Good job FFA kids at Sargent Range Judging last week. Baylee B. was the 2nd overall individual out of 205 contestants in the Jr. Division. Brenna M. was 13th, Sam H. was 14th, Nick A. was 16th and Kate F. and Dylon P. tied for 25th. Baylee, Brenna, Sam and Nick were also the 2nd overall team. Kate, Dylon, Callie H. and Sara B. were also a top 10 team placing 9th. In the Sr. Division, Colton W. was the 6th overall individual out of 107. Paiton H. was 9th, Austin G. was 14th, William H. was 22nd and Ethan H. was 25th. Colton, Paiton, Austin and William were the 4th overall team. Good luck tomorrow at the Area V District Contest!
One Act tonight at 6:15 p.m. is for any cast and crew that can come. Need some gentlemen for sure as we will paint the set and pull items for the set. Bring a painting shirt!
